My name is Michelle Hunt aka Michelle Al-Nasseri.  In 1994 my son Laith Al-Nasseri was abducted by his foreign born father and taken to Iraq.   (See or Google Laith, Michelle and or Haitham Al-Nasseri). Subsequently, my ex-husband was incarcerated and served a fourteen month sentence here in the U.S.   Our story made international headlines and took legal precedence in the U.K.   I have been seen on the Today Show, Good Morning America, Leeza Gibbons and Phil Donahue.  Now more than fifteen years later, I speak of cross-cultural relationships, inspiration and I have dedicated much of my time as a volunteer for women who find themselves in abusive relationships.  I talk about life after turmoil and turning tragedy into triumph. My goal has been to demonstrate how one person can make a difference. I am currently writing a memoir to my son about the abduction and his father who he has not seen since he was two.
