Mick Cervino

As a young Bass Player from Argentina, Mick had the seemingly impossible dream to, some day, join the band of his childhood hero, Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple/Rainbow). After 20 years of trying and overcoming all obstacles he made his dream come true.

General background.

Mick Cervino was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studied Guitar, Bass and Music Theory at Buenos Aires conservatories and schools of music

Became a professional musician at age 16, recording and touring with popular Argentinean pop stars and also in Spain and the UK with various recording artists and bands.

Once in the USA Mick continued his career, performing and teaching music, occasionally doing odd jobs to make ends meet, but never losing sight of his main goal, which was to play with Ritchie Blackmore.

When his dream finally materialized, Mick recorded and did world tours with his hero from 1997 through 2000.

He went on to join Swedish guitar legend Yngwie Malmsteen, doing countless world tours, performing at Europe's biggest Rock festivals in front of 80,000 fans, and being a part of G3's Platinum selling DVD and CD "Live In Denver",

Mick formed his own band Violent Storm, whose debut album was produced by Metal god KK Downing of Judas Priest ,who is also a guest musician on the album along with Yngwie Malmsteen.

In between tours Mick has done Bass Clinics through his endorsers, Spector basses and Gallien Krueger bass amps. Also Master Classes, at places such as The Bass Institute in London England and various music stores in Germany.

While getting ready to release Violent Storm's new material, Mick also gives private guitar and bass lessons in the Dallas area in Texas, inspiring and helping young musicians to pursue their dreams.
