Prior to being named President of the WTA, Lawler was Managing Director, Tennis and Global Initiatives of the sports agency Octagon, which she joined as one of the first female tennis agents. She was named to the "50 Over 50" list by Forbes magazine in 2023 and has received many other honors for her commitment to women's sports.
