Mike Bertrand

CEO, MoneyStream

Mike is a serial entrepreneur trying to change the world - one venture at a time.

As a proven technology executive (Founder, CEO and CTO) in the formation, design, and delivery of high impact/high growth/cost effective global organizations, Mike has spent the last two decades building businesses in the B2B/B2C SaaS space.

After creating SaaS supply chain company UptimeOne in 1993 that powered companies such as See's Candy’s, 3Com, and ConAgra, he started SecureBill in 1998, a payments service that allowed purchases to be billed directly to consumer telephone bills for all US local exchange carriers.

His deep technology background and extensive product development experience for end-to-end consumer, SMB, and enterprise businesses across local or distributed network, online, high volume transaction environments led him to his next venture in 2006, StepUp Commerce, a shopping service that enabled retailers to use the Internet to display their in-store products..

StepUp Commerce was acquired by Intuit for $64M, where he then went to work for almost a decade following. At Intuit he led the QuickBooks Mid Market and WebSites product development teams, growing the business to more than 500K subscribers and $100M in revenue. He was a founding member of the Intuit Payment Network, where he led the design and implementation of the consumer to small business payment network and bill payment routing infrastructure for more than 1,400 US banks.

Skilled in all phases of product development, a builder of diverse teams with a consistent record of taking concept to tests to market at fast speed and high scale as well as being magnet for attracting, grooming and retaining top engineering talent and leadership, his entrepreneurial bug bit again and in 2012 - and MoneyStream was born.
