Mike Weir is a professional golfer on the PGA Tour.

He turned professional in 1992 and earned his membership on the PGA Tour in 1998.  He won his first PGA Tour event in 1999 at the Air Canada Championship.  The victory made him the first Canadian to win a PGA Tour event in Canada in 45 years.

In 2003, Mike became the first Canadian to ever win a professional major championship when he won the Masters.  He also became only the second left-handed golfer to win any of the four majors.

Weir's career year was in 2003 when he won three events, including his Masters victory.  For his outstanding play that season, he won the Lou Marsh Award for outstanding Canadian Athlete of the Year.  He has also been ranked in the top ten in PGA Tour player rankings twice in his career and placed in the top three in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Weir currently lives in Draper, Utah, with his wife and two daughters.
