Mildred Solomon  

CEO of the Hastings Center; Director of the Fellowship in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School; Advisor on Organ Transplantation & End-of-Life-Care

Mildred Solomon is president of The Hastings Center and a professor at Harvard Medical School, where she directs the Fellowship in Bioethics. A bioethicist and social scientist who studies ethical implications of emerging technologies, her research has included the ethics of end-of-life care and organ transplantation.

Solomon was previously senior director for implementation science at the Association of American Medical Colleges. A member of the Global Health Advisory Committee of the Open Society Foundations’ Public Health and Human Rights Programs, Solomon has served on the US health and human services secretary’s Advisory Committee on Organ Transplantation and on committees of the World Economic Forum Global Futures Council and National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
