Miriam Altman and Alexandra Meis
Cofounders, Kinvolved
Studies show that just showing up is critical for academic success. Altman and Meis teamed up as grad sudents at NYU in 2012 to solve the problem of school attendance for at-risk youth. Kinvolved is an app that tracks K-12ers by instantly sharing information on attendance and behavior with their schools, families, after-school programs and coaches. They now have 110 school clients in five cities.
