Molly Worthen  

Assistant Professor of History, University of North Carolina; Author, Apostles of Reason

Molly Worthen is an assistant history professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she teaches courses on the history of North American religious and intellectual life and global Christianity. Her most recent book, Apostles of Reason: The Crisis of Authority in American Evangelicalism, is about the intellectual civil war within evangelicalism since World War II and the theological roots of today’s political conflicts.She also authored The Man On Whom Nothing Was Lost: The Grand Strategy of Charles Hill. Worthen writes about religion and politics for The New York Times, Slate, and other publications.
