Mona Fitch-Elliott holds Masters Degrees from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and Rutgers Newark and has six years teaching experience in middle school and high school.

Mona Fitch-Elliot was born in New York City, and is a product of Jersey City being a graduate of Ferris High School and Saint Peters College. Mona graduated from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and was ordained as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in 1992. She served as pastor of New Life Lutheran Church in Camden, New Jersey for 10 years. She also served as a pastor at Saint Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoboken more recently. In Hoboken, Pastor Fitch discovered her love of teaching and has taught high school for the last few years. Her interest in teaching inspired her to go back to school. She has received a Masters in English from Rutgers in Newark in 2010. She is currently a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, has recently started her own business, Excite Write Education Services located in Jersey City, after graduating from Risinag Tide Capital Community Business Academy. She has and authored two books: The Adventures of the Parts of Speech and a novel entitled Jobeth. She is also the author of several short stories and poetry and is married to her husband, Vernon Elliott with whom she resides i Jersey City.
