Cheerleading Coach at Navarro College, Subject of Netflix's "Cheer"

Monica Aldama is an icon in the cheer industry. Over her 24 years at Navarro College, she has turned the program into the gold standard for the cheer world. After graduating, she saw herself as the CEO of a company in New York, but on a chance decided to apply for the cheer coach position. Aldama became an overnight sensation after starring in the hit Netflix docu-series "Cheer," which chronicles her tremendous leadership in building one of the country's most successful cheerleading programs from the ground up.

She graduated from Corsicana High School and went to the University of Texas at Austin and earned a B.B.A. in Finance. She then went to UT Tyler and earned a Master of Business Administration. NC also holds the reigning record for the highest score in history at NCA College Nationals.
