Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs; Former Political & Foreign Affairs Analyst for Fox News

Monica Crowley is the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and has previously served as a political commentator and lobbyist for Fox News.

Crowley began her career as Foreign Policy Assistant to former President Richard Nixon during his final years, and published two books about him, "Nixon off the Record: His Candid Commentary on People and Politics" and "Nixon in Winter." She later joined Fox News upon its launch in 1996 as an on-air political and foreign affairs analyst. Since then, she has appeared on Fox News, Fox Business, ABC News, NBC News, MSNBC, PBS, and across multiple radio and digital platforms. She also served as a regular panelist on "The McLaughlin Group," and she hosted the nationally syndicated radio program, “The Monica Crowley Show.”

Crowley's book, "What the (Bleep) Just Happened?" became a New York Times best-seller and she has since been a regular columnist for "The Washington Times" and "The Hill." Her work has been published by other major national outlets including "The New Yorker," "The New York Post," "The Los Angeles Times," "The Baltimore Sun," and "Newsweek."

She was awarded the “Woman of the Year” prize by the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute at the Conservative Political Action Conference and received the “Excellence in Journalism Award” from the Women’s National Republican Club.

A graduate of Colgate University, Crowley holds two Master’s degrees and a Doctorate from Columbia University, and has guest-lectured at Yale University, Columbia University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
