As CEO of Meridiam North America, Mr. Aiello is at the forefront of the evolution of infrastructure delivery models in the USA. Meridiam is an equity investor developer and asset manager of Greenfield Public Private Partnerships which aligns the interest of investors, asset life and the public interest and has emerged as one of the global leaders in its markets. The firm received a variety of Global honors such as PPP Project of the Year and Sponsor of the Year for 2009.

Meridiam is now building two key projects in the United States: the Port of Miami tunnel and the NTE Expressway Managed Lanes Projects. Meridiam has also been named as preferred bidder for the LBJ Managed Lanes Project and the University of Montreal Medical Research Facility.

Previously, Mr. Aiello served for more than 10 years as a senior executive at Aecom where he led operations, strategic planning, transportation planning and major projects development. From 1983-1993, Mr. Aiello worked for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) where he last served as Assistant General Manager for Budgets and Strategic Planning. Mr. Aiello delivered several significant capital projects such as the South Station and Silver Line programs. He began his career as a Project Manager for the Community Builders, one of the largest non-profit real estate developers in the United States.

Mr. Aiello has been a leader in joint development, DBOMF and other alternative delivery systems through his involvement in large scale transactions including San Juan's Tren Urbano as Program Manager, and the South Station Transportation Center in Boston as Project Manager for the MBTA. Mr. Aiello also served as the state appointee to CONEG which worked toward the development of the Amtrak HSR project.
