Muhammad Lutfi is Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). Previous positions include: 1994, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mahaka Group, where he led industry, trade and media activities including Republika, a local daily newspaper and other publications and broadcast; 1998, Chairman, Indonesia Young Entrepreneur Organization, Jakarta Region, where he supported small and medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs; 2001, Chairman, HIPMI. Lutfi studied at Purdue University. Formerly with: oil trading company; commodities-trading; chemical industry.
