Survivalist, Adventure Guide, Bestselling Author & TV Personality; Retired U.S. Army Special Forces Officer & Combat Veteran

Mykel Hawke is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces officer, combat veteran, adventure guide, bestselling author, and television and film personality. He is recognized for his numerous TV appearances, including over 50 shows focused on survival and special ops, most notably "Man, Woman, Wild," "One Man Army," "Lost Survivors," and "I Shouldn't Be Alive: Science of Survival." He is the creator and producer of "Man Woman Wild" and "One Man Army." Aside from his television endeavors, Hawke has been highly active in producing survival products for families and professionals. He has penned many books on diverse subjects ranging from survival and medicine to languages. During his military career, Hawke was deployed in 9 conflicts and gained fluency in 7 languages.

In his post-military career, Hawke has applied his expertise in several ways, including establishing a combat medic school in Azerbaijan. He worked in a Combat Zone doing Search and Rescue for the U.S. Government until early 2020. To maintain his operational skills, he continues supporting Special Operations as an Advisor and the Lead on High Tech Language Translation. Known as the Versatile Intelligent Translation Assistant (VITA), the system is designed to convert foreign language inputs into clear English in real-time, whether it be a voice-to-voice or translating video images incorporating street signs and graffiti.

Aside from his professional endeavors, Hawke maintains a balance with his family life. He is married to fellow survivalist Ruth England, with whom he has three sons and three grandkids. The Hawke's are Co-Founders of the new Survival Homes & Gardens Magazine, with a TV show of the same name in development with Danger TV. Hawke was one of the Mentors on Discovery Channel's Show, "India's Ultimate Warrior," where his Warrior won. He was also the Military Survival & Special Ops Expert on FOX's show with Kelsey Grammar, "Historic Battles for America" Season 1, and participated in a Special for HBO's "Last of Us."

Hawke supports numerous charities involving veterans, kids, and pets. His most recent accomplishment is a newly commissioned book on surviving extreme weather, co-authored with a UK weather expert. He has a BS in Biology and a Master's in Psychology. He also holds two black belts in Aikido and Judo. His Special Forces skills in medicine, communications, intelligence, and leadership have been converted into civilian licenses as a Paramedic, FCC Radio Operator, Deputy Sheriff, and Project Manager.
