Nadia Bilbassy-Charters holds the position of Washington Bureau Chief for Al Arabiya and served as a Senior Correspondent in Washington DC for both Al Arabiya TV and MBC TV. Her reputation as a seasoned journalist is reinforced by her extensive field experience, which includes reporting from conflict-ridden regions such as Southern Sudan, Rwanda, Somalia, Congo, and Eritrea. Bilbassy-Charters was a;sp embedded with the 101 Marine Division during the war in Iraq.

Bilbassy-Charters' academic background is from the Tufts University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, where she focused on the Advanced Study of Nonviolent Conflict. She has been previously employed with AFP, MBC, and ICRC, and has been elected three times as the President of the White House Foreign Press Group.

She has had the opportunity to cover two presidential elections and report from Guantanamo on the cases of Khalid Sheikh Mohammad and other 9/11 suspects. Bilbassy-Charters' portfolio also boasts interviews with influential politicians, including President George W. Bush, Prime Minister Tony Blair, President Mahmoud Abbas, General Colin Powell, and U.S. Secretary Rice, among others. Notably, she was the first Arab journalist to be based in Africa for a major Arab TV station, underscoring her pioneering role in the industry.
