Nancy LeaMond  

Executive Vice President, State and National Group, AARP

Nancy LeaMond is executive vice president of AARP's State and National Group, leading government affairs, educational campaigns for the public and lawmakers, and volunteerism and service for AARP's social change agenda. She is also responsible for AARP's state operations in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. During the Clinton administration, LeaMond was chief of staff and assistant U.S. trade representative for congressional affairs at the Office of the United States Trade Representative. Prior to that, LeaMond worked extensively on health-care and pension issues, beginning her career in the Public Health Service, the Medicaid program, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Department of Commerce. She also served as senior adviser to the Commerce secretary and led outreach to the business community. A graduate of Smith College, LeaMond holds a master's degree in public policy and urban planning from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
