Not many people would consider taking the leap of faith from a high-paying Wall Street career into the risk-laden world of a natural beauty entrepreneur, but Nancy Twine, ‘green beauty expert’ and founder and CEO of Briogeo Hair Care, did just that and quickly discovered her true calling.
Relying on her traditional, modest roots and deep-seeded passion for clean beauty, Nancy vacated her position as Vice President of the Commodities Sales division at Goldman Sachs, to follow her dream of becoming a natural beauty entrepreneur.
Briogeo was inspired by a family tradition of formulating personal care products from scratch at home, using recipes passed down through generations. In an effort to cut costs in supporting a tribe of eight, Nancy’s grandmother developed her own soaps, lotions, and hair care products using only kitchen essentials, which became wildly popular throughout the community. Armed with her knowledge of the industry, Nancy put her passion for natural beauty products in motion and set out to inspire women to be mindful of health and wellness without sacrificing an ounce of beauty.
Considered a leading authority on ‘green beauty,’ Nancy is often sought out by high-profile women’s and beauty trade publications and has been profiled in Women’s Wear Daily, Beauty Inc., The New York Post, Marie Claire, Essence, American Spa and earned a coveted spot as one of Glamour’s 35 Under 35. Nancy currently resides in the Union Square neighborhood of New York Cityfor all their lives and use the incredible influence God has given them to eternally impact their world. This is the subject of her first book RIPPLE EFFECTS (Tyndale House Publishers) to be released Mother’s Day 2019.
