Naomi Ackie is a British actress who made her television debut in 2015 in the "Doctor Who" episode "Face the Raven." Ackie received the 2020 British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Bonnie in the television dark comedy-drama series "The End of the F*ing World," a role she is widely recognized for. Further extending her television repertoire, she also secured a main role in the third season of "Master of None" and stars in Zoë Kravitz's directorial debut "Blink Twice."

In film, Ackie is known for her role as Jannah in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker." However, her breakthrough film role was in "Lady Macbeth" in 2016, earning her the British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer the following year. She has also played the role of a school inspector in "Education," a part of the anthology film series "Small Axe." In 2022, Ackie received significant recognition for portraying American singer Whitney Houston in the biographical film "I Wanna Dance with Somebody."
