Naomi Ackie is a British actress who made her television debut in 2015 in the "Doctor Who" episode "Face the Raven." Ackie's breakout role was as Bonnie in the television dark comedy-drama series "The End of the F*ing World," for which she won the 2020 British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress. She later appeared in the anthology series "Small Axe" in the episode titled "Education." Furthermore, Ackie secured a main role in the third season of "Master of None" and starred in Zoë Kravitz's directorial debut "Blink Twice" in 2024.

On the big screen, Ackie is known for her role as Jannah in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker." Her breakthrough film role was in "Lady Macbeth" in 2016, earning her the British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer in 2017. In 2022, Ackie portrayed American singer Whitney Houston in the biographical film "I Wanna Dance with Somebody." This role garnered significant recognition and resulted in her receiving the Trophée Chopard for Female Revelation of the Year the following year. Ackie's compelling performances continued to be acknowledged when she joined the cast of Bong Joon-ho's "Mickey 17" in 2025, starring alongside Robert Pattinson, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo.
