Dublin-born Natasha Sherling is a diamond dealer and private jeweller, working by appointment only. She grew up in Holland, but moved back to Ireland for her secondary education. She studied Business and Economics in Trinity College but always loved fashion and after university worked at The Gloss Magazine. After a few years as Assistant Editor, Natasha moved to New York to study gemmology, soon becoming a fully qualified gemmologist and bona fide jewellery nerd. Upon moving back to Dublin she began to get commissions from clients looking for the most beautiful pieces, made to order. Classic, contemporary or unique, Natasha’s stylist’s eye paired with the intrinsically scientific approach to sourcing the best stones, means that every piece matches style with budget. She works with auction houses around the country appraising select pieces and acting as a sounding board for clients with specific questions on collections. She contributes to multiple media, both consumer and trade, on any topic related to jewellery, and appears regularly on television to chat through jewellery trends. Favourite jewellery adventures this year include previewing the exquisite jewellery of The European Fine Art Fair in Maastricht a day before it opened to the public and consulting with the Crafts Council to mentor some of the best new Irish jewellery designers to come to the market. Side projects in 2012 included directing an event for exceptional women in tech for the astounding Dublin Web Summit.
