Neda Atanasoski  

Professor of Feminist Studies and Director of Critical Race and Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz

Neda Atanasoski is Professor of Feminist Studies and Director of Critical Race and Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is the author of Humanitarian Violence: The U.S. Deployment of Diversity (2013) and, with Kalindi Vora, of Surrogate Humanity: Race, Robots and the Politics of Technological Futures (2019). She is also the co-editor of “Postsocialist Politics and the Ends of Revolution,” a 2018 special issue of Social Identities.

She earned her B.S. in Political Science and French from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and her M.A. in French from the University of California, San Diego. She also received her Ph.D. in Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of California, San Diego.
