Neeraj Agrawal

General Partner, Battery Ventures

Neeraj Agrawal makes his fifth consecutive appearance on the Midas List, if slipping a bit in the ranking. His latest big exit was Wayfair (IPO 2014). The online furniture and decor retailer's shares are back up after slumping post-IPO. Other investments seeing good growth and higher valuations include Optimizely (A/B testing), Nutanix (flash storage), Glassdoor (online recruiting), and AppDynamics (app performance management). An investor in Marketo, Agrawal continues to stay active in sales and marketing automation companies such as Yesware and SmarterHQ. Agrawal is an active tweeter and blogger, including posts on Forbes. Before earning partner status, Agrawal helped start software company BladeLogic with an entrepreneur-in-residence at Battery. The company debuted on the Nasdaq in 2007, and BMC Software acquired it for $800 million less than a year later. He helped Battery Ventures score a March 2010 mid-stage investment in Groupon.
