Neve Adrianne Campbell, born October 3rd, 1973, is a Canadian actress. She appeared in the television series Catwalk, before she portrayed Julia Salinger in the hit series, "Party of Five." Neve is also known for films such as "The Craft" (1996) and the role as Sidney Prescott in the horror film series, "Scream." Later films include such as "Panic" (2000) and "The Company" (2003). Neve has guest appearances in several television shows, such as "Grey’s Anatomy," "Mad Men" and "Medium."
Neve was born in Guelph, Ontario and she has three brothers; Alex, Christian and Damian. At age six, Neve saw a performance of "The Nutcracker" and then wanted to take ballet and she then enrolled at Erinvale School of Dance. Neve accumulated some dance-related injuries, she decided to move onto acting at 15-years-old. While attending the Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph, she performed in "The Phantom of the Opera" at the Canon Theatre in Toronto.
In 1991, Neve appeared in a Coca-Cola commercial which promoted the tour featuring Bryan Adams at the time. Neve’s first starring role was in the Canadian youth series, "Catwalk" (1992-1994), as Daisy. She has made some guest appearances on shows such as "The Kids In The Hall" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Neve rose to fame for portraying Julia Salinger in the drama series, "Party of Five" (1994-200). She was named “television’s most believable teenager.” In 1996, the show won a Golden Globe Award for the Best Drama.
"The Craft" (1996) was Neve’s first widely released film. Later she starred in "Scream" (1996) as Sidney Prescott. The film was a huge success and reported earning over $173 million at the worldwide box office and it also won critical acclaim. Neve received significant critical praise throughout the series for role. Scream was followed by three sequels, with them all being successful, Scream 2 earned over $170 million, Scream 3 over $160 million, and finally, Scream 4 earned over $97 million. In 1998, Neve appeared in "Wild Things" and "54," with both of them being successful. She voiced in the Disney film, "The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride" as Kiara.
