Senior Advisor to the CDC Director; Former President & Executive Director of HCCI

Niall Brennan, a seasoned professional in the field of data analysis and healthcare, currently serves as the Senior Advisor for Data Strategy to the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In his role, Brennan offers strategic guidance on the CDC Data Modernization Initiative (DMI). Prior to his current role, Brennan held the position of Chief Analytics and Privacy Officer at Clarify Health, where he honed his skills in the practical application of data analytics in the healthcare sector.

Brennan's career also includes a successful tenure as the President and CEO of the Health Care Cost Institute from 2017-2022. From 2010-2017, he served as the Chief Data Officer at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid. During this period, Brennan played a pivotal role in implementing numerous Affordable Care Act provisions and led the Obama administration's efforts to enhance transparency in healthcare.

His academic background includes an undergraduate degree from University College Dublin and a graduate degree from Georgetown University's Master of Public Policy (MPP) program. Brennan, a proud native of Ireland, is also a naturalized US citizen.
