Niall Horan is an Irish singer-songwriter who rose to prominence as a member of the boy band One Direction. In 2010, One Direction was formed when Horan (along with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson) auditioned for X Factor, at which point they were put together in a group to compete that way. After the band's hiatus in 2016, Horan signed a record deal with Capitol Records, releasing the singles "This Town" and "Slow Hands". His 2017 album "Flicker" debuted at #1 in the US and Ireland, and he toured worldwide that year and the following to support the album. "Flicker" was described as being on the folkier side of pop. Horan has cited Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and The Script as some of his favorite artists and influences.
