Actor, Best Known for "Skins," "X-Men" & "The Great"

Nicholas Hoult is a British actor who gained widespread recognition at a young age for his role as Marcus Brewer in the 2002 romantic comedy "About a Boy," starring alongside Hugh Grant. His breakout performance earned him critical acclaim and established him as a rising star in Hollywood. His resume since includes work in big-budget mainstream productions as well as smaller, independent projects, both in television and film. He has received several accolades, including nominations for a British Academy Film Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award.

After "About A Boy," Hoult cemented his reputation with his role as Tony Stonem in the British teen drama series "Skins." His transition to adult roles began with the 2009 drama "A Single Man" and the fantasy film "Clash of the Titans." He played the mutant Hank McCoy / Beast in the 2011 superhero film "X-Men: First Class," a role he reprised in later installments of the film series.

Additionally, Hoult played the title role in the adventure film "Jack the Giant Slayer" and a zombie in the romantic comedy "Warm Bodies." He had a supporting role in the action film "Mad Max: Fury Road" and portrayed various historical figures such as Robert Harley in the satirical "The Favourite" and Peter III in the Hulu comedy-drama historical fiction series "The Great." His work on the latter earned him nominations for two Golden Globes and a Primetime Emmy Award. He has since starred in the black comedy "The Menu," the comedy horror film "Renfield," the courtroom drama "Juror #2," and the gothic supernatural horror film "Nosferatu." He plays Lex Luthor in the 2025 "Superman" release.
