Nicholas Wade is a science writer, editor, and author.

Wade began his career as a science writer and editor for the journal Nature, and Science, eventually serving as staff writer for the Science Times section of The New York Times from 1982 to 2012.

He is also the author of multiple books covering different scientific topics, including The Nobel Duel: Two Scientists' Twenty-one Year Race to Win the World's Most Coveted Research Prize, Before the Dawn: Recovering the Lost History of Our Ancestors, The Faith Instinct, and A Troublesome Inheritance: Genes, Race and Human History (2014).
