Nick Johnston is chair of the Cure Parkinson's Action Group and a managing director at Perella Weinberg Partners. Johnston started his career on the health-care team of JP Morgan in New York and London. Given the opportunity to start a biotechnology company, he left JP Morgan to become vice president of business for Parion Sciences, a drug development company. He then became chief operating officer at Microsulis Plc., an international producer and marketer of medical technology products. This experience allowed him to gain a direct understanding of the complexities of both the private and the government-funded provision of health care around the world. He returned to corporate finance in 2007, rejoining JPMorgan in London before moving to PWP in the summer of 2012. Johnston now advises large and small companies innovating in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical technology and diagnostics as well as providing support to hospital and related health-care service companies.
