Nick Wobbrock is co-founder of Blue Forest Conservation, which won the 2015 Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge. A conservation finance investment firm, Blue Forest seeks to integrate investor-friendly financial structures and pay-for-success contracts to mobilize investor capital and address environmental issues such as forest management in the Western U.S. Wobbrock worked as a logistics officer for Doctors Without Borders in Malawi, as a water and sanitation Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras, and as a civil engineer with Brown and Caldwell. A licensed professional civil engineer in California, he is focused on leveraging his engineering background with business to solve social and environmental problems. Wobbrock is a second-year M.B.A. student at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
