Nick Maddock is an agricultural economist with over 30 years’ experience in the former Soviet Union, the new EU Member States, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Arab States. Formerly a lecturer in agricultural policy and rural investment at the University of Bradford in the UK, he has since worked as a long-term adviser in agriculture and rural development in the Baltic States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, and India. He is currently the Rural Development Policy Specialist at the UNDP’s Regional Centre in Bratislava and provides support to UNDP Country Offices in the countries that emerged from the Soviet Union and former Yugoslavia.
