Nik creates brands. A young entrepreneur, he as founded a couple venture-backed and several bootstrap companies in tech and food. He is designer and marketer that loves the extreme hustle. He was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30.

Nik was born and raised out in the rural farmland of Western Nebraska. He didn't grow up with gold dipped spoon in mouth but he did grow up with hustle. During his undergrad, he co-founded the VR technology company, Candy Lab in 2010 and served as Chief Information Officer. Candy Lab executed digital marketing, built web tech, created brands and created a proprietary mobile augmented reality content delivery system application. Nik and his partners authored a patent on the mobile augmented reality technology that they created (USPTO 61/652,032).   In 2012, while still finishing up his undergraduate degree, he went on to co-found Barnana with the mission of ending food waste at organic banana farms with the vision to create the brand synonymous with the curved yellow fruit that we all know and love, the banana. Nik serves as Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer as well as acts as the principal designer at The Company.

During his undergrad, Nik was presented with a Certificate Of Recognition from the California State Legislature by California State Senator Darrel Steinberg. He is an alumni of the DEMO Launchpad program in Silicon Valley in 2012. He was awarded Best Package Design in 2013 by New Hope Media for his work on Barnana. In 2014, he was named one of the Top Entrepreneurs To Watch by Food Navigator USA. In 2016, he was listed on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 List. When he’s not creating brands, he can be found singing and writing folk songs, bow hunting, rolling jiu jitsu, Olympic lifting, kickboxing or backwoods backpacking.
