Kalghatgi is a VC at SoftBank Capital. In this position he has been influential in SoftBank’s capital investments in early digital media, mobile, and ecommerce companies. Since joining in 2010 Kalghatgi has been influential in over 45 of SoftBank’s investments including BuzzFeed, Buddy Media, OMGPOP, and Gilt Groupe. Kalghatgi states he loves to invest in commerce, connected devices, mobile tech and startups with wild ideas and unfair advantages. Previously, Kalghatgi spent several years in military intelligence and was part of the founding team of Localytics.
