What started as a hobby building machine-learning models for Phillips Exeter Academy seniors Jon Goldsmith and Nikolas Liolio is now the $1.5 million-funded Tetra, a mobile app which transcribes phone conversations into searchable transcripts. Asset managers, journalists and recruiters are Tetra's primary customers, but the team sees video conferencing and in-person meetings in its future.
