Author of several academic and analytical publications in English and Russian languages. Interests: contemporary life of the Silk Route region, its international politics, local nationalism and identity processes, and political economy; balalaika; basketball; What? Where? When? (a team trivia sport popular in post-Soviet countries); Uzbek cuisine.
