Nneya Richards
A born and raised New Yorker and Amherst College, Trinity School and Prep for Prep alumna Nneya Richards is a fashion & travel industry personality, founding her company, Double N Rich consulting in 2012 to offer creative solutions for a variety of fields
A born and raised New Yorker & global citizen, Nneya Richards is a fashion maven with a broad experience in public relations, VIP and editorial, starting at 15 years old as a contributing editor of TeenVOGUE magazine and from there, gaining a breadth of experiences at top fashion houses including BCBG MaxAzria Group, Zac Posen and Topshop as well as positions oversees with Milan-based media houses.
In 2012 Nneya Richards founded Double N Rich Creative as a way to offer creative solutions, with an emphasis in fashion, for a variety of fields from family opera to travel destinations. A jane-of-all trades, Nneya balances her love of styling and editorial work — recently holding a post as Fashion Director of New York Observer's Scooter & Scene magazines — with her passion for working with up-and-coming fashion brands from the ground up: aiding with branding, public relations and tastemaker and VIP seeding. Nneya Richards, with client Azede Jean-Pierre, dressed the first lady, Michelle Obama for the August cover of Essence magazine. The Azede Jean-Pierre team was then invited to the White House, not only for the Celebration of Design reception, but also to lead a workshop at the White House during the day’s activities.
Through Double N Rich, Nneya is a frequent contributor to Paper Magazine, Luckymag.com, StyleCaster & theVivant.com and Guest of a Guest, as well as a brand ambassador for a variety of beauty and fashion companies. In December 2014, Nneya Richards launched, ’N A Perfect World… a curated intersection of fashion, travel and geopolitics & socialization inspired by the global citizen lifestyle of the millennial. From up-and-coming artisans to up-and-coming locales, ’N A Perfect World… will invite you off the beaten path.
Nneya Richards matriculated at Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts in Women & Gender Studies & Fine Arts. Pre-Amherst, Nneya Richards attended Trinity School in NYC and is a member of the Prep for Prep program's Contingent XX. Prep for Prep develops leaders through access to superior education and life-changing opportunities. Since 1978, Prep has identified New York City’s most promising students of color and prepared them for placement at independent schools in the city and boarding schools throughout the Northeast.
