Noam Angrist

Cofounder, Young 1ove

Noam Angrist is a social entrepreneur and co-founder of Young 1ove. He graduated from MIT with a BS in Mathematics and Economics, going on to receive an MS in Evidence-based Social Intervention and Political Science at Oxford. He also served as a visiting research fellow at the University of Botswana. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the US Department of State and is now the Executive Director of Young 1ove.

For Angrist, facts rule when it comes to teaching students about sex education and HIV/AIDS. Based in Botswana, where 22% of the population has HIV, Young 1ove has developed a curriculum that has reached over 35,000 students in more than 360 schools. Their flagship program shows young people the risks they face engaging with older men called "sugar daddies" who are more likely to have HIV. Young 1ove is also piloting programs in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
