Climate Justice Activist

Noga Levy-Rapoport, a climate justice activist, freelance organiser, experienced speaker and host. They volunteer with the UK Student Climate Network as a leader responsible for organising the climate strikes across the UK as part of the global YouthStrike4Climate campaign under Fridays For Future.

They’ve confronted corporate leaders directly at International Petroleum Week and have spoken at, organised, and led several marches and events to demand urgent climate action, including at the UN’s International Maritime Organisation, in Parliament. They were also a prominent leader in organising the world record-breaking international Global Climate Strike of September 2019, which they hosted in London. An accomplished speaker, they have delivered talks across the UK and beyond, visiting schools, universities, corporations and global organisations, and they continue to regularly contribute to talks and panels on the environmental movement. As part of their work for UKSCN and for Labour for a Green New Deal campaign, they’ve been named one of the Most influential Londoners of the Year by the Evening Standard and a Forbes Top 100 UK Environmentalists for their work on youth empowerment, educational reform and systemic change from the grassroots to the global level through the Green New Deal. Currently, they are balancing a number of climate-related projects through Covid-19 and, most recently, they’ve been working as a mentor for young, underrepresented creatives looking to promote climate justice in their own as part of Play Nice, as well as working for the National Lottery as an advisory board member.

Their work has expanded to focus on online influencing and education through social media initiatives, encouraging young people to get educated through the #ReadWithNoga scheme. They use their platform to highlight political issues such as the Israel-Palestine conflict, the gender binary, queer rights, feminist equality,
