Nolbert is willing to travel to major cities to talk concerning the entertainment industry.

CEO and Founder of Sun Tan School of Theaters, Sun Tan Entertainment, and Nolbert Brown Jr. Entertainment.  He has produced over thirty productions throughout his career, and presently working on a innovative sitcom targeted for television.  The Hollywood Insider’s Gospel Music Awards unanimously selected “Nolbert Brown, Jr.” to direct their 2004 Hollywood Gospel Insider Music Awards.  Brown is credited with his colleagues for creative script writing for the character of “George Jefferson,” played by Sherman Hensley, to the set of “All in the Family.” Nolbert Brown, Jr. has extraordinary theatric vision and a destined future in the business of the performance arts.

As a young child, Nolbert Brown, Jr. always had a love of the theater. Inspired by his uncle Johnny Taylor’s illustrious career in music, Nolbert’s touring with his uncle helped to develop his strong business acumen.   His early years as a star in the Broadway play “Bubbling Brown Sugar”, encouraged Nolbert to remake the play in 1984. 

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Nolbert Brown, Jr.’s undergraduate study at Morehouse College fueled his passion to attend Villa Nova University to earn his Masters Degree in Drama and English. He has written and directed plays such as “A Good Man is Hard to Find, Cabin the Sky, The Life Story of Mahalia Jackson,  One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show, Women Are Not to Be Trusted, What Ever happened to Black Love, What Would Jesus Do This Moment, Jesus Save My Two Sons, The Life of Jackie Wilson, Bubbling Brown Sugar, Real Women Pray, God Gave Me the Voice to Sing, The Temptations of My Sins, The Life Story of Marvin Gaye, The Door Opens on Both Sides, and The Devil Made Me Do it, just a few noteworthy productions amongst a lengthy list of Nolbert Brown’s creative ventures  His work with headliner actors and singers also have award winning status. Nolbert attributes success to building strong relationships with his star noted cast of friends, many of which sing and act in his productions. A list of these star heavy hitters can be viewed on his soon to be released website.  Often surfacing in a cameo role in his plays, Nolbert is well noted as a life story playwright, an actor, and honored recipient of a Tony Award, Urban Award, and Image Award, to name a few outstanding awards he’s received throughout his impressive career. 

Amongst other plays written by Nolbert is his most current production titled, “The Night the Economy Crashed (What Will You Do Without Cash), and Sistahs of Soul - The R&B Story” These musical theater performances will soon hit the box office in various states.  Nolbert’s multi tasking is an asset; he is also keenly focused on the creative development of a new series drama for television entitled, “Choco City”.  

Nolbert Brown, Jr. has appeared on various television and radio broadcast, and pathways to reveal his expressive gift as a playwright, director, and producer are forever evolving.   His passion for writing is exemplary, as evident in the many awards that reflect Nolbert’s professionalism and talent.
