Speech Topics

Ethics & Power in Corporate America

All the Presidents’ Bankers

Power is about more than wealth, capitalism vs. socialism or communism. Rather, it's about the bonds, strategic alliances and partnerships that transcend the worlds of Wall Street and the White House. Some of these alliances have been positive to the stability of the greater population as well as to the financial community. However, some have had more dire negative implications – to both. Fresh from original and exhaustive research into the family ties, mentorships and other connections between US presidents and major US bankers since the establishment of the Federal Reserve, Nomi Prins tells a fascinating story of the evolution of American power and genealogy. She also explains how this led to establish policy and influence. Some of these connections will surprise you and give you food for thought about their nature and how they impact the world today.

Breaking Down the Noise: How the Political-Financial Complex Drives Policy & Markets

Economists focus on the economy, politicians their next election and bureaucrats their next appointment. However, what drives markets lies in the intersection of finance and government. Nomi Prins delves into the history of complicated collaborations between major banks and politicians to inform her views on the future of global trade, investment and potential destruction. She stresses the way in which yesterday's decisions and interplay between top government and banking leaders will impact tomorrow's markets. This talk will open the eyes of traders, investment advisors and capital markets professionals.

System Failure: Remaining Minefields in the Post 2008 Crisis Era

In this speech, Nomi Prins will focus her considerable experience and analysis on the complex issues underlying inherent global and national volatility and instability that neither the main stream media, federal agencies nor governments want you to know -- or even understand themselves. What dangers are still lurking in the post Dodd-Frank arena for your portfolios, firms or customers? And what should you do for protection? This talk is critical for all professionals charged with monitoring accounting practices, compliance, legality and risk.
