Leader, Educator, Media Executive

Dr. Norman Mintle is leader, teacher, producer, husband, and father whose deep passion is to work with organizations – especially those whose client base is focused on the Millennial generation. After stints at ABC and CBS television affiliates, he led leadership teams at newly formed independent Christian television stations in Tampa, FL and Chicago, IL before moving to CBN in 1982.

In 1989 his leadership expanded to a network level when he was named Executive Producer of the globally syndicated program, “The 700 Club” and carried additional responsibilities as Vice-President for Programming, Marketing, and Special Events. In 1996 he founded his own production company, the PureMedia Group. As president, he worked with a host of church and para-church media ministries ranging from Ron Luce (Teen Mania), and former gang leader, Nicky Cruz (“Run, Baby, Run”) to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

Dr. Mintle moved to Chicago in 1998 to serve as Executive Vice-President/COO of the newly formed cable network, TLN (Total Living Network). A new television station in Marin County, CA was inaugurated along with a research-based model for creating exciting and innovative programming for broadcast, cable, and the worldwide web.

In 2001, the award-winning producer came to Regent University to help build the new Communication & Performing Arts Center on campus and serve as the Academic Dean in the School of Communication & the Arts. He founded the Center for Digital Media in 2006.

These days, he guides a team of dedicated and talented faculty to train, motivate and lead graduate and undergraduate students into their God-directed futures in film, television, and the digital media. His heart and passion focus his research on reaching unreached audiences, through all the various media, with the power of the Gospel using styles, symbols, music and language that are understood by postmodern millennial viewers.
