Norman Katz is a Senior Business and Technology professional with over 25 years of expertise in supply chain software - enterprise resource planning, electronic data interchange, barcode labeling and scanning - and end-to-end operations. He is an international speaker (60+ presentations), a worldwide article writer (40+ publications) on various business and technology topics, and a three-time book author: “Detecting and Reducing Supply Chain Fraud” (Gower/Routledge, 2012), “Successful Supply Chain Vendor Compliance” (Gower/Routledge, 2016), and “Attack, Parry, Riposte: A Fencer’s Guide To Better Business Execution” (Austin Macauley, 2020).

Katz specializes in vendor compliance, financial penalty chargeback mitigation and reduction, supply chain execution, performance metrics, and enhancing customer and supplier, contract manufacturer, distributor/3PL relationships. He helps companies select and implement software, improve operating efficiency, make sense of data, strategically grow, create technical and user documentation, and tactically implement change.

After a progressive 11-year technology career, Katz branched out on his own in 1996 and founded his consultancy, Katzscan Inc. His clients include CPG firms selling in the retail vertical via a combination of B2B, B2C, or D2C. Katz has also helped companies in staffing, publishing, manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, and other industries.
