Ntokozo Zakwe is a 27 year old South African woman. She is an advocate for HIV prevention and women’s sexual health and reproductive rights. Her passion for advocacy has been intensified by her personal experiences as a young woman in South Africa. All her life, she has struggled to stay HIV Negative, withstanding challenges and factors that leave women vulnerable to HIV, and is determined to do something about it.

As a DREAMS Ambassador, she works in her region to ensure that the voices of adolescent girls and young women are heard, especially when decisions are being made about their health, rights, and lives. She is currently a 2019 AVAC Fellow working on an advocacy initiative that will ensure women’s access to comprehensive sexual health services that integrate gender based violence education in their primary health care centres.
