Barbara Dehn is a practicing Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s Degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She has decades of experience in healthcare, with specializations in adolescence, menopause, women’s sexual health, and the role of mindfulness in health. She is a nationally recognized health expert and a popular speaker on various aspects of women’s health. In addition to her appearances on CBS, ABC, CNN, and Good Morning America Now, she also appears as Nurse Barb on NBC's "California Live," where she provides health education to millions.

In 2004, Dehn founded her own health publishing company, Blue Orchid Press, with the mission to “Empower Women with Information.” She writes and publishes a series of innovative women’s health guides that cover topics such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, fertility, healthy bones, and menopause. These guides have been widely distributed, with over 7 million copies in English, Spanish, and Mandarin circulated through licensing partners.

Dehn practices with Women Physicians in the heart of Silicon Valley and has over 20 years of experience in caring for women. Not only has she helped countless women and couples navigate through issues such as infertility, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and menopause, but she has also been involved in pioneering telehealth. Her consulting work extends to the pharmaceutical, medical, and biotechnology industries. Notably, she has contributed to the care of the first children to receive heart transplants at Stanford and has helped publicize new medical devices. She is also a founding board member of the 100 Women Charitable Foundation.
