Olivier Scalabre leads Boston Consulting Group’s Paris office and is a core member of Operations and Industrial goods practices. He is the global leader of BCG’s engineered products sector for aeronautics, defense, mobility, and energy and leads the Greentech sector (CCUs, hydrogen, long storage batteries), helping our clients to accelerate the deployment of these technologies at scale.

Since joining the firm, Scalabre has launched BCG Operations Centers in Paris, London, and São Paulo. The centers serve clients through 100 experts dedicated to manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and services operations across industries.

Scalabre supports large operations programs for industrial goods clients in multiple industries, including railway, energy and utility, consumer electronics, and automotive. He is also responsible for the overall BCG relationship with clients focused on large-scale engineered products and projects.

Scalabre also led BCG’s initiative on Industry 4.0 and the creation of BCG Innovation Centers for Operations (ICOs) worldwide, a network of model factories that leverage technologies to achieve new levels of operational performance.

Throughout his career at BCG, Scalabre has analyzed the evolution of large industrial companies' manufacturing footprints and operations. In May 2016, he presented a TED talk—part of a series of talks curated by TED and BCG—about the fourth manufacturing revolution, explaining how it will produce a macroeconomic shift and boost employment, productivity, and growth. Scalabre has worked in both mature and emerging markets, most notably out of the BCG New Delhi and BCG Paris offices.
