Forbes 30 Under 30 in Healthcare; M.D.-Ph.D., Ph.D. candidate, Broad Institute, Harvard-MIT

Henry Abudayyeh is known for his work with CRISPR, the gene-editing tool. With this tool, Abudayyeh and his research partner Jonathan Gootenberg discovered a new enzyme for editing genes, and a new technique for editing the chemical messenger, RNA. He was recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree for healthcare in 2018.

Abudayyeh graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a Henry Ford II Scholar, meaning he was the top graduating engineering student with a perfect 5.0 GPA, as well as a Barry M. Goldwater Scholar. Following his time as an undergraduate, Abudayyeh joined the Harvard-MIT MD/PhD program.
