Omi Vaidya is an american actor best known for his role of Chatur Ramalingam in the 2009 Bollywood film, 3 Idiots. Omi received two Screen Awards for Best Comedian and Most Promising Newcomer, as well as a IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year and a Lions Gold Award for Best Supporting Actor. After gaining attention and recognition for his role in 3 Idiots, Omi starred in Big in Bollywood in 2011, which was a documentary film about his journey from a struggling Hollywood actor to a successful Bollywood star.

Before Omi’s breakout role, he had taken on smaller roles in popular television shows including Arrested Development, The Office, and Bones. He also directed two short films, Out of Time in 2003 and The Desert Rose in 2007.

In 2018, Omi starred in Blackmail, a Hindi-language dark comedy film. He is currently starring in Eros Now’s web series ‘Metro Park.’
