Orlando Bloom

Actor & Goodwill Ambassador

Claiming his fame in the early 2000s, British actor Orlando Bloom stars in box office hits.

Bloom was born in Canterbury, Kent, England on January 13, 1977. His mother, Sonia Constance Josephine Copeland, married and the couple agreed that Copeland and Bloom's real father, Colin Stone, would raise him.

In 1993, he moved to London and joined the National Youth Theatre, spending two seasons there and earning a scholarship to train at the British American Drama Academy.

While Bloom was getting his acting career started, he broke his back in 1998 in a three story fall and had to regain his ability to walk.

Shortly after graduating in 1999, Bloom was cast in his first major role, playing Legolas in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. After his big role, he starred in many movies including Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Troy, and Elizabethtown.
