Pamela Brown will anchor a new CNN show, “The Bulletin with Pamela Brown.” As CNN’s chief investigative correspondent, Brown also leads the network’s award-winning investigative team.
Previously, Brown served as CNN’s senior Washington correspondent and senior White House correspondent where she covered former President Donald Trump and his administration for all of the network’s programs and platforms. Brown’s reporting on the Trump administration covered key moments such as the special counsel’s investigation into former President Donald Trump’s campaign, two impeachment proceedings, the Covid pandemic, the controversial travel ban and child separation policies, missile strikes in Syria, and the firing of FBI Director James Comey. Brown and her colleagues also broke the news on the first criminal charges to be filed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, reported exclusively on Robert Mueller’s team meeting with the author of the Russia dossier, and covered numerous stories on the inner workings of the investigation. Prior to that, Brown served as CNN’s justice correspondent with a focus on law enforcement, national security, and the U.S. Supreme Court. While in that role, Brown was first to report on a number of high-profile stories in the U.S. and around the globe, including the San Bernardino terrorist attack, Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack in France and the Germanwings suicide plane crash in Germany. Brown has traveled the world reporting on several breaking news stories, including in France, Denmark, Germany, Ireland and Japan. Since joining CNN in 2013, Brown has received Emmy nominations for her work covering the Pulse nightclub shooting and the Manchester concert attack.
Brown began her career at ABC7/WJLA-TV and NewsChannel8 in Washington D.C., where she became a Sunday evening anchor and an Emmy®-nominated special projects reporter covering several national and international stories. Brown was one of the few local journalists to travel to earthquake-ravaged Haiti in January 2010 and later returned on her own to report on the rebuilding process in Port-au-Prince and the surrounding areas.
Brown grew up in Lexington, Ky. and holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in broadcast journalism. Brown is currently pursuing a Master of Studies in Law degree from George Washington University and is on track to complete her program in 2023.
