Pam El is a marketing veteran and former EVP and CMO at the National Basketball Association, where she was responsible for global marketing for the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League. With more than 30 years of experience, El is best known for her ability to modernize brands. She is recognized as an industry leader for her expertise in brand management, marketing strategy, creative development, and media and sponsorships.

El was SVP of Marketing for Nationwide Insurance and spent over a decade with State Farm Insurance as Marketing Vice President where she led sales and marketing strategy for the U.S. and Canada. El earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and was recently inducted into the VCU Communications Hall of Fame.

El serves on the board of the Ad Council and ChildFund International. She is a mainstay of industry publications, award lists, and conference keynotes and panels.

After retiring from the NBA, she started Pam El Consulting to continue spreading her expertise and love of marketing.
