Pamela Rambo

Getting people from where they are to where they were meant to be.

Spending most of her life in higher education, k-12 schools and non-profits, Pam Rambo has been on a mission to help people grow. She is an expert partner for parents who want to help their children achieve their full potential. Through her consulting firm, she works with individual families and makes group presentations that reduce stress levels associated with the college planning and admissions process. She helps students and their parents focus on the big picture and recognize unique talents so that they can plan a future that helps them make a difference in the world.

Although Pam's mission is a very serious one, families, students and audiences enjoy her because of her effective use of humor and how much she clearly cares about them. College planning, admissions, financial aid and scholarships are serious, stressful topics. Pam's presentations break down processes and concepts into easily understandable bites that parents and students can easily digest.

Her most popular presentations are about the role of parents in helping their children find the right major, get into the right college and avoid living in the basement after college graduation. She works with families at all stages of college planning from elementary school through college and has identified 100 things parents can do to prepare their children for a successful life.

Navigating College Financial Aid Processes and Programs

Like you, Pam Rambo gets a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach when she reads about financial aid for college students. There are few subjects as daunting for parents, students and k-12 educators. Difficult to understand, frought with acronyms and driven by confusing and complex regulations, financial aid-speak is the good the bad and the ugly of higher education.

As a former financial aid administrator and admissions professional, Pam currently spends her days making financial aid easy to understand for parents, students and k-12 educators. She points out little known facts about financial aid and helps people understand how it can help them and what to do to have the best outcome meeting college costs.

This presentation is designed for parents, students and k-12 educators.

How to Successfully Pilot a Child Through School

"Helicopter Parents" have been maligned in articles for being disruptive to the educational process. Pam Rambo takes a different view. She thinks parental hovering is a good thing and shows parents how to do it in the way that is best for their children and their educational progress. Best of all, this type of hovering also helps schools do their jobs and look great. This presentation is for parents and educators dedicated to helping students succeed in a complicated world.
